BC2010 SC2 Invite: MakaPrime vs. mTwDeMuslim
Set One: Xelnaga Caverns - mTwDemuslim Wins
Constant back and forth pushes that are barely stopped by each player. MakaPrime perfectly times an 8 person marine drop to deal heavy amounts of damage to mTwDeMuslim’s mineral line, and then retreat unscathed because mTwDeMuslim’s army was out of position. Makaprime then chooses to provide some banshee pressure while also attempting to simultaneously drop the marines again, but loses the Medivac full of marines. mTwDeMuslim picks this moment to push back and provides siege tank pressure on MakaPrime’s building, but MakaPrime is able to stop it with a well placed banshee flying above some high ground. The game, at this point, turns into a macro game as both players opt to take their gold expansions. Both of them continually drop back and forth on each other. and attempt to deal some economic damage. After distracting MakaPrime with a push in the middle of the map, mTwDemuslim pushes from behind MakaPrime’s base, using that as a distraction he re-applies pressure in the middle and decimates MakaPrime’s army.
Note, their armies were almost exactly the same considering upgrades and composition and size
Set Two: Steppes of War - MakaPrime wins
In a push at just about 8 minutes mTwDeMuslim is able to destroy the Supply Depots at the front of MakaPrime’s base. MakaPrime knows that he needs to be aggressive and is able to get 9 kills with one Banshee and scout heavily with another Banshee. After getting Cloak MakaPrime is able to perfectly time a Banshee push when both of mTwDeMuslim’s Orbital Commands are low on energy. Between both the Banshees they are able to get a little more than 30 SCV kills, dealing heavy economic damage. MakaPrime continues with the Banshee pressure and forces mTwDemuslim into a defensive position. mtwDemuslim sees the position he is in and pushes out but unlucky for him MakaPrime is pushing out at the same time with a superior army and takes the second game in a full army battle.
Set Three: Deltra Quadrant - MakaPrime wins
Both players drop on each other’s bases, but MakaPrime is able to use blue flame Hellions and kills all but 2 SCVs. mTwDemuslim attempts to push back with a Marine drop but the Medivac is killed and mTwDemuslim “GG”s very quickly.
